My husband is American, and from the very first time we met, I started calling him “Xiong,” which means “bear” in Chinese. The name suited him so well that it stuck, and now all my friends and family call him “Xiong” too.
He’s quite the character—always cheerful and full of life. He has a knack for making me laugh, no matter the situation.
